Bad Lyrics: I wanted to kick off with a perfect example of a good song with bad lyrics, and if there was ever a perfect example, this is it.
MacArthur’s Park is melting in the dark
Already we’re in fine form. But MacArthur Park is a bad lyric champ for a reason.
All the sweet green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain.

And I’ll never have that recipe again!Damn that mysterious Someone! Leaving green cakes out in the rain for no reason!
What’s more, this cake was not only a labor of love for Miss Summer, but it was also one of a kind! Whatever did happen to that recipe? Was that issue of Martha Stewart Living also purloined by “someone?” Mysteries abounds, Donna. Mysteries that will live forever inside a melting park, feasting on wet cake.
